The S&T of Topographic modeling and LIDAR data processing
Geomophometry Conference 2027 “The S&T of Topographic modeling and LIDAR data processing”, will be held in Doorwerth, The Netherlands, from 31 May–3 June 2027. The conference is hosted by the OpenGeoHub Foundation; this is the official bi-annual meeting of the International Society of Geomorphometry.
During this four-day hybrid event, The conference aims to advance the field of geomorphometry / topographic modeling and LIDAR data processing by fostering collaboration, promoting open knowledge exchange, and supporting methodological innovation. It seeks to improve digital technologies for terrain analysis and enhance the use of elevation/relief data for applications such as environmental monitoring, hydrology, civil engineering, soil, biodiversity and vegetation mapping, land-use planning, and natural hazard assessment.
Do you work with Digital Elevation Models, LIDAR point clouds, DTM-based modeling and applications? Submit a proposal and join numerous interesting workshops, oral talks and discussion panels.

All submissions will be reviewed by the workshop’s scientific committee. The highest-ranked proposals will be selected for presentation as oral talks, hands-on workshops, or posters.

This is a not-for-profit event: registration fees are cost-recovery-based.

If traveling via Amsterdam Schiphol airport, to get to Doorwerth you can best use the train from Schiphol to Arnhem station, and then take a bus from there. The train station is conveniently located below the main hall of the airport. Information about train schedules can be found on the website of the National Railways (NS). There are both direct trains and trains with a change, please note this during your travel planning. Traveling from Schiphol to Arnhem takes just over an hour. From Arnhem to Doorwerth is another half an hour by bus.
Train tickets can be bought easily in the main hall of Schiphol airport from vending machines (or the railway service point). Tickets can also be bought online (gives you €1 discount) using VISA/Mastercard/AmericanExpress/iDeal: https://www.ns.nl/en/journeyplanner/.
At Arnhem train station take Bus 51 or 352 towards Wageningen.
