Edzer Pebesma is chair of the OpenGeoHub Management Board and Director of the Institute for Geoinformatics of the Munster University. Edzer is one of the authors of Applied Spatial Data Analysis with R book, Co-Editor-in-Chief for the Journal of Statistical Software, and associate editor for Spatial Statistics. He has been teaching at almost every OpenGeoHub Summer school since 2007.
Interface between different spatial libraries is an important layer because it enables people to better express their problem.
