Ichsani Wheeler
Within the OpenGeoHub, Ichsani is responsible for business development and development and use of Open data sets.
Ichsani is agricultural land and water restoration, natural resource monitoring, soil carbon methodologies specialist. She has obtained a PhD degree from University of Sydney, Faculty of Agriculture and Environment. Since then she has worked as a consultant in the area of sampling, mapping and quantifying the spatial distribution of soil carbon at global to field scales. Her most recent contracts have been with the UNCCD, first focusing on Soil Organic Carbon (SOC) for Land Degradation Neutrality and degradation hotspot analysis for 100+ countries.
