OpenGeoHub foundation is a not-for-profit research foundation with headquarters at Doorwerth (half way between Wageningen and Arnhem), the Netherlands. We aim to become world experts in producing global and regional spatial predictions of soil, vegetation and climatic variables. For this, we use high performance computing / optimisation and state-of-the-art machine learning.
OpenGeoHub foundation is looking for a project coordinator assistant / financial data analyst to help with preparing, implementing, managing and completing research and applied projects. You would primarily support the OpenGeoHub Executive board and help them produce higher quality project proposals and reports including financial assessment and financial simulations. You would work in Google workspace tools (Google Sheets) and then use the modern tools to help better manage deadlines, time-registry, and financial responsibilities. You would also support Human Resources work, preparing new staff for operational work, helping with on-boarding and with resolving administrative issues (with Immigration office / IND, Belastingdients). You would lead writing financial reports, book-keeping and producing progress reports and similar.
You would also support projects that are implemented by networks of researchers outside of OpenGeoHub. OpenGeoHub works closely with IIASA (Geo-wiki.org), Utrecht University, Wageningen University (Laboratory of Geo-information Science and Remote Sensing), EURAC Research, The Woodwell Climate Research Center, Max-Planck-Institute for Biogeochemistry (Biogeochemical Integration Department), Institute for Geoinformatics (ifgi) / University of Münster, CNR IRPI, GFZ Helmholtz German Research Centre for Geosciences, GiLAB.rs, Technical University of Vienna, DLR, and many other organizations. Our clients / collaborating organizations also include: World Resources Institute, The Nature Conservancy, UNCCD, Conservation International and others.

• You have an BSc and/or MSc degree in the field of econometrics and/or human resources and/or economics.
• You have a minimum 5 years of work experience.
• You are familiar with Horizon Europe project applications.
• You are familiar with time-registration and project management systems.
• You know how to work with Google Sheets.
• You know how to organize medium-size production teams.
• You know how to automate processing of staff and financial data.
• You have a special eye for spotting potential errors in tabular data.
• You enjoy working with people with high neurodiversity.
• You are fluent in Dutch.
• You are fluent in English.

We offer a full-time position for 1 year, with possible permanent position, within a very stimulating international innovation and research environment aiming at solving global and regional environmental problems at large scales.
